The "one" lost sheep

These 200 lights in the Imagine sign represent people who gave their life to Jesus and were baptized in recent years. They are the "sheep" who are under the care of Jesus, the Good Shepherd.

The sheep in front of you is separated from the rest. It represents the one lost sheep from the story Jesus told in Luke 15.

Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

Luke 15:3-7 NIV

The shepherd left the flock of 99 to go out and bring the lost sheep back home. In 2024, all of us at Plum Creek will identify our "one" (or "ones") and pray that the lost will come home to Jesus. Take a moment right now to pray for a specific individual God has put on your heart.
