Below are various serving opportunities within transforming communities

Cancer Support Team

Transforming our community through ongoing support for those who have been affected by cancer.

Issue: Caring, Health

Opportunities: Team Member - Monthly meeting on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.  Pray, write cards, support cancer patients, plan events

Dragon Boat Team: Sign up to participate on our Dragon Boat team to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer.

Whiz Kids

Transforming our community through one-on-one tutoring and mentoring relationships with elementary children.

Issue: Literacy, Children

Opportunities:  Tutors - Build a relationship with a child through weekly reading tutoring.

Leadership Team - Site Coordinators and Data Coordinators are needed at multiple sites.

Sharing Center

Transforming our community by showing every person they have value and are loved by God.

Issue: Hunger, Poverty

Opportunities: Food Share: Monthly serving and relationship building. Set up; clean up; administration; food and clothing organization on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

Leadership Team: Event Planning, Continuous Improvement, Volunteer Management

Family Promise

Transforming our community by helping homeless families stay together and get back on their feet.

Issue: Homelessness, Poverty

Opportunities: Host Family: Host homeless families at Plum Creek South one night, four times per year (spend the evening and night at church, build relationships, host meals). 

Support Family: Prepare Meals, clean up, and plan activities at Plum Creek South one night, four times per year. Transportation: Provide Transportation to homeless families from Plum Creek South to Family Promise Day Center five days per week, four weeks per year (vehicle provided).

Transition Team: Transition space and clean one Sunday, four times per year. Day: Varies, four times per year Location: Plum Creek South


Glory Bound Saddles

Transforming our communities by investing in teens and families through horse and outdoor activities.

Issue: Families, Teens, Community, Mentoring

Opportunities: Mentor: Build a relationship with a teenager through horses and outdoor activities.

Camp Faculty:  Adventure Camp (4 nights) in Falmouth
